Drones for agriculture a big hit at Colusa Farm Show

Yesterday I covered the first day of the Colusa Farm Show, which runs through Thursday at the fairgrounds in Colusa. Drones for agriculture was one of the big subjects of the day, as much of ag in California is going to automation in light of rising labor costs.

In the photos, from the top: Dennis Ryan (right) of Redding-based Vertical Sciences Inc., talks to customers about a copter-like drone that takes aerial images of farms, and Scott Gregory of Oroville-based Ag One Solutions reaches up to adjust a similar drone.

Today's activities include the breakfast, which is the Chico State farm's major fundraiser for scholarship and leadership programs, and an almond workshop. The full schedules are here.

For my full story on drones, check soon.
