Widespread triple-digit heat to linger this week

Here is the outlook from the National Weather Service:
Impacts
Moderate risk for heat-related illness for sensitive groups, locally high for most groups.

Forecast Confidence
High for multiple days of triple digit heat

Timing and Strength
Tuesday - Friday: widespread Valley highs between 100-111 degrees
Near Record heat is possible Wed and Thu.

Weather Summary
High pressure will strengthen over the region early this week. This will bring seasonably hot temperatures, with widespread highs around 105 degrees Tuesday through Thursday. The north end of the valley will have temperatures near 110 degrees during this time period. Temperatures will remain hot on Friday but start to trend downward slightly with temperatures returning to normal over next weekend.
